City of lights and colours
Ever since it became legendary when a film with Brigitte Bardot was filmed there, Saint-Tropez fascinates as much as it repulses. Some dream of walking its streets in the hope of spotting celebrities on holiday on the Côte d’Azur. Others flee the town precisely because of its association with the jet-set way of life. It’s true that during the summer the town sometimes looks like a high-end fashion show, but try to see beyond this exuberant first impression and take the time to discover the hidden face of the fishing port which, from the end of the 19th century, seduced painters with its setting, its light and the colours of its facades.
