The Calanques in Cassis

Les Playes Campsite CALANQUES OF CASSIS

A natural masterpiece

If nature had its own museum, no doubt the Calanques would be among the museum’s masterpieces. This rocky massif with steep cliffs that seem to collapse into the emerald waters of the Mediterranean is one of the most beautiful sites in Provence. The Calanques stretch between Marseille and Cassis and can be explored both on foot, along paths set between land and sea, or by sea, by hopping into a canoe or onto a boat.
