Nature’s masterpiece<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If nature had its own museum, the Calanques would undoubtedly be one of its masterpieces. This rocky massif, with its sheer cliffs seeming to plunge into the emerald waters of the Mediterranean, is one of Provence’s most beautiful sites. It stretches between Marseilles<\/a> and Cassis<\/strong>, and can be explored on foot, along trails that balance land and sea, or from the sea, by canoe or boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Calanques de Cassis<\/strong> are a series of small rocky coves that form a natural harbor. These cliffs form the Parc National des Calanques<\/strong>, a protected natural site with a wealth of biodiversity and landscapes. The region boasts a lush pine forest and is one of the few wooded areas on the C\u00f4te d’Azur. They are also home to many rare species of plants and animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a total of four calanques in the commune of Cassis: “Le Calanon”, “Calanque d’En-Vau”, “Calanque de Port-Miou” and “La Calanque de Morgiou”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
